Reminder Camping Not Allowed On Public Land

Despite the warmer weather gradually settling in for good, you can’t fully enjoy it just yet.

Under the current provincial COVID-19 rules and regulations, recreational camping is not allowed on public land.

There are some exceptions to that restriction.

They include the exercising of treaty rights, where written authorization has been issued by the Province and for temporary outdoor accommodations needed for essential services.

The restriction also does not apply to camping at Provincial Parks, though camping season at the parks doesn’t start until May 21.
